At Keplar Apps, we take your privacy seriously. This policy outlines how we handle your data across our website and our various software applications. Use of our services is also governed by our Terms of Service.

1. General Website Policy (keplarapps.com)

When you create an account or make a purchase on our website, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by your authentication provider (e.g., Google). We also collect anonymous website traffic data using Google Analytics to understand how our site is used. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe; we do not store or process your credit card numbers on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use your email address solely to manage your account, verify your active subscriptions across our apps, and send important service updates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, nor do we give your personal information to anyone.

2. Guide Maker Pro (Chrome Extension)

Core Privacy Principle: Guide Maker Pro is designed with a "Local-First" architecture. Your screenshots and training data never leave your computer.

Data Collection and Storage

Guide Maker Pro captures screenshots and tracks click events to generate training guides. All of this data is processed and stored locally on your device within your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). We do not transmit, upload, or store your screenshots, click data, or generated guides on our servers or any third-party servers.

Authentication and Subscription Verification

To manage licenses and prevent abuse, the extension communicates with our secure servers at `keplarapps.com`. During this process, we collect:

  • Your email address (to verify your subscription plan).
  • An anonymous, randomly generated Device ID, basic browser type (e.g., "Chrome on Windows"), and the extension version number (for diagnostic and support purposes) to enforce our installation limits and maintain software health.

This data is used strictly for license enforcement and is not shared with any third parties.

Company Branding (Domain Licenses)

If your account is part of a Domain License (e.g., a company account), your Domain Administrator may upload a company logo. This logo is stored securely on Google Cloud Storage and is fetched by the extension to be placed on your exported PDF guides.

Use of Permissions

To function, Guide Maker Pro requires the following permissions, which are strictly limited to their stated purpose:

  • activeTab & scripting: Used solely to capture clicks and generate the guide steps on the specific tab you choose to record.
  • desktopCapture: Used solely to take screenshots of the specific window or tab you select for your guide.
  • storage: Used to save your generated guides locally on your machine and store your anonymous Device ID.
